How to make it

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet, preferably cast iron, over high.
  2. Add cherries and cook, stirring often, until lightly browned in spots and softened but not falling apart, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread baguette slices with goat cheese and top with a spoonful of cherries.
