Ingredients

  • cilantro 1 handful cilantro , chopped
  • cumin 1 tsp cumin
  • garlic 2 cloves garlic , chopped
  • jalapeno 1 x jalapeƱo , chopped
  • lime juice 1/4 cup lime juice
  • lime zest 1 tsp lime zest
  • oil 1 Tbs oil
  • salt and pepper 1 x salt and pepper
  • shallot 1 x shallot , chopped
  • shrimp 1 lb shrimp , peeled and deveived
  • tequila 1/4 cup tequila

How to make it

  1. Heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Add the shallots and saute until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic, jalapeo and cumin and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the shrimp, tequila and cook until the shrimp are pink, about 1-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the shrimp and set aside.Simmer the sauce to reduce to the desired amount.
  6. Remove from the heat and add the shrimp, lime juice, cilantro and salt and pepper.
