  • apple sauce 4 rounded tbsp apple sauce
  • pork chops 4 pork chops, about 175g 6oz each
  • potato mashed potato and green veg, to serve

How to make it

  1. Turn on the grill. Season thechops on both sides with a goodsprinkling of salt and pepper.Grill under a moderate heat for12-16 minutes, turning once, untiljust cooked.
  2. Add the topping. Thinly slice thecheese (don’t worry if it breaks upa bit). Spoon the apple sauce overthe chops and top each one with acouple of slices of cheese. Slideback under the grill for 2-3 minutesuntil the cheese is melted andtinged brown.
  3. Serve with mashedpotatoes and a green veg such asleeks or broccoli, and with anymelted cheesy bits from the bottomof the pan.
