  • breadcrumbs 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • egg 1 large egg
  • garlic cloves 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ground pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • italian seasoning 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • kosher salt 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • lean ground turkey 1 pound ground turkey (93% lean)
  • marinara sauce 5-6 cups marinara sauce, for cooking (optional)
  • olive oil 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • yellow onion 1/2 small white or yellow onion

How to make it

  1. Place egg, parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic, seasoning, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Finely grate the onion into the mixture. Stir it together until it forms a thick paste.
  2. Add the turkey to the bowl and work the mixture together gently. You dont want to over mix the meatball mixture, but make sure that the turkey and seasonings are all mixed through.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
  4. Add the oil to the pan and let it heat through.Scoop desired size meatballs in uniform size.
  5. Place meatballs into the hot pan. Once you put them down, dont move them.Cook meatballs about 3-5 minutes per side, or until theyre browned. At this point you can do two different things with your meatballs:Oven: preheat oven to 350F.
  6. Add marinara sauce to the pan and stir carefully to coat the meatballs. Turn heat to medium, cover the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until cooked through and the internal temperature is 165F (about 10-15 minutes).
