  • brown sugar ½ tsp brown sugar
  • cayenne pepper ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • garlic 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • olive oil 2 tbsp olive oil
  • paprika 1 tbsp paprika
  • parsley Parsley for garnish
  • red bell pepper ½ red bell pepper, chopped
  • red onion ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • red pepper flakes ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • rice vinegar 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • soy sauce 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • tofu 300g organic firm tofu, cubed (about 2 cups)

How to make it

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped red onion and bell pepper and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add tofu and drizzle soy sauce, vinegar and lemon juice over the top. Stir.
  5. Add paprika, cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper flakes and brown sugar.Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot and garnish with parsley.
