  • baking soda 1 tsp. baking soda
  • brown sugar 1 cup brown sugar
  • butter ¾ cup butter
  • crunchy peanut butter 1 cup Jiffy extra crunchy peanut butter
  • eggs 2 eggs
  • salt ¼ tsp. salt
  • sugar 1 cup sugar
  • unbleached flour 2 cups Gold Medal UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour (bleached flour toughens baked goods)
  • vanilla 1 tsp. vanilla
  • water 2 tbsp. hot water

How to make it

  1. Mix brown sugar, sugar, peanut butter, butter and eggs with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Add vanilla, salt, baking soda and hot water and mix again until well blended.Stir in flour with a wooden spoon until combined.Drop with an ice cream scoop or large tablespoon onto cookie sheets that have been sprayed with cooking spray.
  3. Bake at 375° about 12-15 minutes or until done.
