Easy Alfredo Sauce

  • black pepper 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • butter 1/2 stick of butter
  • cream cheese 3 oz. cream cheese
  • fresh basil 1 tsp dried basil (or some fresh basil)
  • garlic 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
  • nutmeg 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • olive oil 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • parmesan cheese 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • whole milk 2 cups whole milk

How to make it

  1. In a medium sauce pan, melt butter and oil over medium heat and add the garlic.
  2. Saute garlic for 1 or 2 minutes, then add the milk and all other ingredients.
  3. Heat over medium heat
  4. stirring often with a wire whisk until well blended and sauce starts to bubble.
  5. Serve with 1/2 lb. of pasta and/or vegetables.
