Ingredients

  • feta cheese 1 package (4 ounces) crumbled feta cheese
  • flour 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • fresh basil fresh basil, optional
  • fresh mushrooms 1 package (8 ounces) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Garlic Salt
  • kalamata olives 1/4 cup chopped Kalamata olives
  • milk 3/4 cup very warm milk (120º to 130ºF)
  • olive oil 1/4 cup olive oil
  • roasted red bell peppers 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • seasoning 1/2 cup chopped roasted red bell peppers
  • shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands® Italian Herb Seasoning
  • spinach leaves 1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • sugar 2 cups (packed) fresh spinach leaves
  • whole wheat flour 1 tablespoon sugar
  • yeast 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 envelopes Fleischmann's® Yeast

How to make it

  1. Mix batter ingredients together in a greased 8 X 8-inch baking dish and gently press into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle with feta cheese and spinach. Saut mushrooms in olive oil over medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in roasted peppers and olives. Top batter evenly with mushroom mixture. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and herb seasoning.
  3. Bake by placing in a cold oven. Set temperature to 350 F; bake for 30-35 minutes, or until baked through. If desired, top with fresh basil just before serving.
