  • anise seeds pinch of anise seeds
  • brown sugar 1/4 C brown sugar
  • cinnamon stick 1 cinnamon stick
  • cranberries 1 12oz bag of cranberries
  • ground ginger 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • honey 1/4 C honey
  • orange juice 1/4 C fresh orange juice
  • orange zest 1 tsp orange zest
  • salt 1/4 tsp salt
  • vanilla extract 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • water 1/2 C water

How to make it

  1. In a medium sauce pan, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the cranberries have burst, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove the cinnamon stick from the sauce and discard.
  3. Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving dish or place in a storage container if you are serving next day.
