  • basil 1 T. dry basil
  • garlic cloves 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • lemon zest 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • olive oil ½ cup of olive oil
  • red pepper flakes 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • Salt & Pepper salt & pepper
  • shrimp 2 lb. of large shrimp, deveined & shell off
  • wine ¼ cup of white cooking wine

How to make it

  1. Rinse 2 lbs. of raw shrimp {be sure it is deveined and shell is off} and place in a large bowl.In a separate bowl, mix together garlic, dry basil, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.Next add white cooking wine and slowly add olive oil whisking to emulsify.
  2. Pour marinade over shrimp and mix to make sure all shrimp are coated.
  3. Let sit for 20 minutes to let marinade soak in.
  4. Heat grill to medium high heat.
  5. Place shrimp in grill basket {or on skewers}.Grill until shrimp are pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Serve with fresh lemons.Now, make sure to share, there are plenty of shrimp to go around.
