  • beef stock 1 cup beef stock
  • brat Brat Buns
  • green bell pepper 1 green pepper, sliced
  • ground beef 1 pound ground beef
  • mushrooms 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • onion 1 medium onion, diced
  • provolone cheese Provolone Cheese
  • salt and pepper Salt and Pepper to taste
  • steak sauce 3 Tbs steak sauce

How to make it

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, and brown for about 5 minutes, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  3. Add onions, green peppers and mushrooms.
  4. Saute until veggies are soft, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in beef stock and steak sauce. Reduce heat, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, until the sauce reduces by half.You can toast the buns if desired.
  5. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom of each bun, and spoon meat over top. The heat from the meat should melt the cheese.
